The expectation that because a crime is common, and someone else may have had a worse experience of it, that your experience needs to be downplayed- breaks my head and my heart. I've done the same thing. Just your average late night attempted rape, you know, and I should think myself so fortunate that he ran when I fought. Standard and average and common don't mean a whole lot when it's your bodily integrity & your sense of safety & dignity under attack. I'm sorry that's the reason you were gone. I wish this had been a time of you having far too much fun to bother updating your blog. But I'm glad you're 'back'.
